My Eyebrow Threading Experience!

Hey Everyone!

Today I am going to give a quick overview about eyebrow threading & my experiences with it.

Eyebrow threading consists of twisting a piece of thread, usually made from cotton, into a double strand. This double stranded thread is then used to pick up a line of hair to so forth remove it, creating a clean and precise hairline. It is the long lasting hair removal technique in comparison to waxing or plucking. The hair takes approximately 3-4 weeks to grow back. The method is natural and doesn't consist of any harmful products, so it is suitable for basically anyone!

Is it painful?
When I used to have my eyebrows threaded, I did initially find it painful (but if I can go through with it then anyone can!). It's over relatively quickly and
the pain seems to go after the first couple of minutes. When you have been through it a handful of times it's pretty pain free and you may say you become 'immune' to it.

Where do you get your eyebrows threaded?
After receiving the free offer in my Carmine box, I visited the Benito Brow Bar and continued doing so for about six sessions.

This photo was taken a few years ago, a few days after having my eyebrows threaded. It can give you an idea on my eyebrow thickness, shape and size etc.
Please bare in mind I didn't brush my eyebrows before I took the picture!

Personally, I didn't see the attraction of eyebrow threading after having to pay £10-£15 per month. However, if I could happily spend the money I would go back to receiving the treatment. For now, plucking my eyebrows is the most efficient method, financially.

I will soon write an updated post on how I currently treat my brows and what I do to them in my everyday makeup routine, so stay tuned!

I hope this may be useful or interesting to some! Please respond with your opinions or your own personal experience in terms of eyebrow treatments!

  1. I'm terrified to get my eyebrows threaded, I HATED getting them waxed. It's when they go in after with the tweezers, it makes me feel sick! Cudos to you!
